Harm Reduction
Supply Vending Machine

In collaboration with the Stark County Mental Health and Addiction Board (StarkMHAR), Refuge of Hope, The Massillon City Health Department, and The Alliance Commons we have implemented Harm Reduction Vending Machines throughout Stark County Ohio. Items in the machines include overdose reversal medicine, drug test strips, wound care kits, first aid kits, safe sex kits, PPE, and sharps containers. All items are free to the community.

Accessing the Vending Machines

Call Stark County TASC at 330-417-5901 to register.

First-time participants will be asked to complete a brief, confidential sign-up survey. You’ll choose a PIN to be used to access the machine for 90 days.

After 90 days, the PIN expires, you will call and re-register to continue use of the machine. At this time, TASC’s Harm Reduction Peer Supporter will provide information about treatment services and resources you may need in the community.

All items are free and accessible to everyone. Items include:

  • Overdose reversal medicine (Narcan)
  • Drug Test Strips (Fentanyl and Xylazine)
  • Wound Care Kits
  • First Aid Kits and PPE
  • Safe Sex Kits
  • Sharps Containers

*After hours, weekend, and holiday calls will automatically transfer to the Opiate Hotline for registration.
